You don’t polish chrome you clean it.
Unlike aluminium or stainless steel, chrome doesn’t oxidise much. But if it’s not cleaned regularly, especially after a shower or wash, watermarks are inevitable. Over time, soap scum and other chemicals can build up and dull the surface. Chrome plating is usually very thin — just a few microns — so care is essential.
Polishes, even expensive ones, won’t remove scratches from chrome. Once scratched, it must be re-chromed — not polished.
